The brief was to overhaul the outdated ensuite and guest bathroom of this traditional Victorian terrace house in inner Melbourne. Our design work involved replacing the oppressive stone clad floors and walls and heavy fittings to make a brighter space that took full advantage of the rooms’ natural light. To improve functionality of the master ensuite, robe storage was installed and a separate shower and toilet was designed to allow two people to use the facilities with privacy. A stylish handmade (in Victoria) porcelain lighting perfectly finished the look.
The guest bathroom was retrofitted into an existing hallway – space was a premium and the design had to be simple and efficient. A New Zealand handmade light fitting is a feature.
